Vogue Interiors announced award-winning designers Leslie Gebert, Allied Member, ASID and Sheila Corasaniti, IDS have been selected to design and execute the interior of Harbourside Custom Homes’ San Michele II model residence at Miromar Lakes. The open, 3,693 square feet floor plan includes a spacious great room, a formal dining room, a large island kitchen and breakfast nook, four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a study, a flex room to be designed as the model’s lady’s study, an outdoor living area with a covered lanai, fireplace, outdoor kitchen, and pool, and a two-car garage and a one-car garage.
Gebert and Corasaniti’s sophisticated transitional design for the San Michele II model will feature a neutral background palette of soft light taupe punctuated with the bold use of ivory, black and metallic gold accents. Light toned hardwood floors will run throughout the home to create a neutral and quiet stage for the home’s dramatic design elements.
Double entry doors will open to a sweeping view running straight through a long gallery hallway and the great room to the outdoors and pool area. The foyer’s ceiling will feature three large rectangular trays with transitional hanging light fixtures. Soft taupe walls will showcase a contemporary wood and stone console table with a deep, dark espresso finish and a honed travertine top in a medium tone. Above the console will hang a large vibrant abstract painting executed in varying shades of creamy ivory, inky black and gold leaf. In the niche on the opposite wall, a dramatic 92-inch high contemporary sculpture will offer a preview of the sophisticated interior of the San Michele II.
To the right of the entry, a large front-facing room will be designed as a lady’s study where the wall details will include tall vertical rectangular panels outlined by 1-inch by 4-inch flat molding painted the same soft taupe tone as the walls. A plush curved white sofa will sit in front of the window and be accented with four dove gray pleated fabric pillows. Side tables in a brushed pewter finish will flank the sofa across from an espresso lady’s desk with a brushed nickel base. In the corner, a comfortable curved back chair will be upholstered in a subtle linen. On the light wood floor, an ivory and dove grey chevron patterned hide rug will soften the room. Draperies on the front window will be fashioned in an oversized damask pattern.
Custom columns will define the feature wall in the formal dining room where textured wallpaper will cover the center of the wall behind a stunning 90-inch circular starburst mirror in a bronze and black metallic finish. Six comfortable neutral upholstered dining chairs will feature a chrome nail head design and will surround a glass-topped dining table with a dark wood and stone base.
With an entry from the dining room, the granite-topped wet bar will open to the grand gallery and will feature lighted glass-front wall cabinets finished in a charcoal black. A stunning backsplash of 3-inch by 8-inch decorative tile will run behind the cabinets all the way to the ceiling. Composed of geometric shapes in tones of warm brown, midnight black and ivory, the backsplash will create an interesting masculine mood against the black cabinets. Counter height barstools with polished nickel bases will be upholstered in a crocodile-textured ivory leather.
In the welcoming great room, an elaborate ceiling detail will emphasize the volume of the generous space. On the main entertainment wall, 24-inch wide panels of 4-inch by 4-inch gloss black ceramic tile will be trimmed out in applied molding and run all the way up the wall. The tile panels will flank the television wall which will be finished in an intricately pleated neutral wallpaper. Custom built-out columns will feature long modern metallic sconces beside a black media console in the center. Facing the media wall, a neutral linen sofa will hold an assortment of accent pillows including black, ivory and gold color-blocked cowhide. Against the sliding doors to the lanai, two ivory leather club chairs will be detailed with a chrome nail head design. Opposite the easy chairs, a long black bench will showcase an ivory textured cushion. Four small black bunching tables with open sides and gold trim will take the place of a traditional cocktail table. A luxurious shag area rug with a creamy ivory pile and subtle gold threads will bring additional texture to the seating arrangement. At the windows, neutral linen draperies will have a 30-inch band of ivory, black and gold heavily embroidered fabric at the bottom.
The open kitchen island cabinets will be finished in rich black and be topped with a lively black and white granite countertop. To provide contrast, the perimeter cabinetry will be finished in an off-white neutral tone with brushed nickel pulls a granite counter matching the island. The granite will continue up the wall as the backsplash. Ivory leather counter stools matching those at the wet bar will be used at the kitchen island.
The hardwood flooring will continue into the den at the rear of the home, where driftwood finished built-ins will flank a contemporary partners’ desk. Driftwood floating shelves will hang above the desk on a wall finished with a textured grey cork wall covering. A contemporary office chair will be finished in ivory leather. Two black wood-framed chairs with dove grey modern fabric will sit beside a lamp table finished with gold metal legs and a reflective black top. Horizontally striped draperies will feature a combination of gray, ivory, and black stripes alternated with stripes of sheer linen.
With a bold color palette of black, white and gold, Gebert and Corasaniti’s master bedroom design inspiration is sourced in a French couturier fabric. The ivory silk fabric has random splatter patterns of black and gold and will be used on the Euro pillows and as a throw at the foot of the bed. A curved headboard will be upholstered in ivory velvet and the bedding will include an ivory velvet coverlet and black and gold embroidered pillows. Gold drapery hardware will support ivory sateen panels inset with bands of black fabric.
In keeping with current color trends, all of the hardware in the master bath will be finished in a brushed gold. The vanity cabinetry will be in a soft off-white finish against pale granite countertops. Soft ivory tile flooring will extend into the shower and be accented by a neutral glass tile.
Three black woven wicker outdoor loveseats with ivory cushions will be grouped in front of the fireplace and media wall where horizontally stacked 18-inch by 36-inch taupe tile will offer a contemporary look. The rectangular dining table will have an ivory base and a granite tile top in tones of ivory and warm brown. Six black woven wicker dining chairs will have ivory upholstered seats. Charcoal cabinetry will fill the grill wall above an ivory and black granite countertop. Nearby, a black bistro table and four matching swivel barstools will serve as a bar. By the pool, four black loungers with ivory fabric will contrast gold metallic Chinese garden stools set between them.
